Longs seemed to be the place for Fish in Chips in Bridport. We chose to sit in, not for the luxury but more for the convenience.
Located next to the car park where we left the motor each night we had quickly spotted this place that was open for tea between 5-8 to sit in. Always good to try out the local chippy 💯😎

One plate of Cod, Chips and Mushy Peas, one plate of Haddock, Chips and Mushy peas plus a pint for me (cars parked until the morning) was just £40
I liked the chips, proper chippy ones, kind of soft and squishy and perfect with a douse of salt and vinegar
Fish was nice and fresh inside the batter, but the coating needed more seasoning for me and was a bit greasy. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse so nothing to complain about it was a decent effort
Mushy peas thick and pasty, eatable off a knife and would be easily spreadable on a slice of bread and butter. Wish I had a slice to make a chip butty at the time 🤣🤪

It wasn’t exactly rammed in the dining area but there were plenty of people lining up to get a takeout. Perhaps it was busier at the weekend.
It is a really nice dining area though and if I am honest I was quite glad we had most of the room to ourselves as chippy dining rooms can get really hot really fast

There are two branches of Longs in Bridport, a takeaway on West Street, and a dine in / takeaway restaurant on King Street where we chose to eat
Official location is 15 King Street, Bridport DT6 3QD and you can check them both on on their website
