Cafe Bean in Bridport is a Lovely little cafe, warm and welcoming and very popular situated part way down South Street in and amongst the little shops and galleries
We came in for breakfast early on Market Day and the place was rammed out, luckily we snagged one of the last tables and while I do admit I felt fairly smug about that, I was a hungry man so give me a break 😎
SPECIALS BOARD FEATURING A FULL BREAKFAST

The original plan was just to get a snack, perhaps a Bacon Bap at the most but then I saw the special board and the awesome listing of a Full Breakfast comprising Sausage, Bacon, Fried Egg, Beans, Tomatoes, Mushrooms and Toast for £9.99
I mean this must have been fate, we got that last table and now I was being offered a Full English, what should I have done? Opportunity and Fate do not collide this often and I had to take my chance. Long story cut short I ordered one 🤣😎
FULL BREAKFAST

This was a very decent breakfast, starting with the sausage which was firm, meaty, and cooked to be quite crisp on the outside. I always judge my fry-up on the quality of the sausage and this was a good beginning.
The bacon was a bit thin, but is also was cooked to be crispy, the marginal flaw on the plating was that it lurked beneath the well fried egg and amongst the thick sauced beans so it was a little lost.
I was glad to find a good sized portion of mushrooms and even happier to get a proper tomato (not tinned) that had been cooked properly all the way through until they were soft and juicy.
The Toast was sliced thick and was well buttered, it was cut at a strange angle but hey I don’t eat algebra so who cares really. It was, as always, the perfect foil for scooping up beans and stray egg yolk which was the main thing
The Full Breakfast was served somewhat ‘rustically’ in a bowl so was hard to get a good photo but why should it be? after all they are not catering for my Instagram feed just for my belly

Apart from the breakfasts other boards offered us Jacket Spuds and lots of Different Panini for £7.95 and £9.25, the pick of which for me would probably have been the Panini filled with Serrano Ham, Tomato and Mozzarella. I would have said the Jacket Potato with Cheese and Beans but at £7.95 I would be in tears when my local cob shop does one for under £5 lol. Mind you if does come with a side salad here at Cafe Bean and I would imagine it is cooked a lot better
