Another Broken Egg Café over at Park Market place is another ‘another broken egg café’, there are at least 6 in North Carolina and many more in and throughout many of the Southern States.

When it is a Rainy Day I feel like filling my belly with a nice comforting breakfast brunch style lunch, so I hoped that this place would fulfil my needs!

I ordered the Shrimp, Crawfish and Andouille Stuffed Omelette from the Fall Menu.

Considering the name you will not be surprised to hear what the menu describes it as;

“Shrimp, crawfish and Andouille sausage sautéed with peppers and onions in a three egg omelette topped with house-made Parmesan spinach cream sauce”.

It comes served with seasoned country potatoes and an English muffin.

I enjoyed the omelette which was packed with plenty of shrimp, sausage, and that crawfish, as it was made with 3 eggs it was pretty filling and did get a bit boring towards the end. The whole thing did need something to pick it up a bit so I added a whole lot of salt and pepper and a bit of some sauce I found on the table.

There were a lot and I mean ‘a lot’ of country potatoes, I do like this style, there are too many though for a normal man’s appetite. I still ate them all 🙂

I saved my bit of muffin for pudding and ate it with some of the jam that was available, I think it was some sort of mixed fruit jelly. It did  the job!

Best of all they managed to serve me a decent cup of English breakfast tea 🙂
