Today we were in Mevagissey on the hunt for another Cornish Pasty that we had not tried before from Mary’s Pasties. I had read that there was a shop on the West Quay so since we were here pottering about the village it seemed rude if we did not call in to try one

Once inside were we happy to see that the hot counter was laden high with baked goods and plenty of hot pasties for us to take away

I took my pasty around the harbour to grab a seat looking back over the water into the village. It was a good idea not just for the view but also to give the pasty time to cool down a bit as it was pretty hot when we bought them and I like mine just a little warm so that you can taste all the flavours

It was really quite a big pasty and I quite liked it. The pastry was a bit thicker than many so it was a bit soft where all the filling soaked in.
I liked that it was generous on the meat and the filling was all moist and juicy. It was well seasoned and slightly peppery but was hard to tell how much so as I had eaten it before it cooled down.
I would definitely add this pasty to your list if you on a Pasty Hunt around Cornwall and I enjoyed eating it with my view across the harbour.
Located at West Quay, Mevagissey, Saint Austell PL26 6UJ they are really easy to spot as you walk along the harbourside
They do have several outlets in the area so check them out through their Facebook Page
