Today’s offering being a bowl of GONG ZAI MEIN from the instant noodles section
This is a popular breakfast dish in HONG KONG but just as good for brunch

Ok so this is about as simple as it gets.
A packet of chicken flavoured instant noodles
A couple of slices of fried spam
A fried egg
All served in a bowl with a scattering of chopped scallions, a drizzle of sesame oil, and a sprinkle of ground pepper

It almost felt like a crime that such a simple bowlful of basic ingredients are so delicious.!
They certainly hit the spot
I am sure some of the other dishes in the book may be more challenging to prepare but I thought it’s good to start with one so easy to cook 🤣
